I’m as guilty as anyone for helping thrive, sold on ease and price. In reality, all this has done is encourage illegal and bad driving. If you want others to change, you have to change first, so I’m out.

It’s common knowledge Uber’s security is lax, remember the hacking scandal that covered up by paying the hackers a ransom demand and failed to tell its customers or drivers who’s accounts had been hacked ?. Despicable company !

Uber drivers in Denmark dont speek to the passenger anymore... Like not at all.. Uber left copenhagen in 2017 and left behind the driver to the authorities 👍👍 super company. The biggest scam company ever....

What’s it like spending tens of thousands of $ for security because you’re afraid some driver or passenger you’ve screwed over might come up behind you and bash your skull in? I wouldn’t walk in your shoes for all the money in the world.

Worst customer service of all time. Rider account disabled, no idea why, just canned emails and same no info responses from contacting them via Facebook Messenger. No specifics as to why my account was disabled or how it doesn't adhere to their Terms.

I’ve cycled in London for well over a decade but particularly in last few years, the ‘Prius taxi’ has made London roads more dangerous for everyone. Cycling around Islington and Regents Park I’ve been involved in numerous incidents with drivers.

Fantastic article Ellen, everything written here about this vile company is spot on, when they eventually implode, as they will do teachers around the world will use this as an example of how not to run a transport company. A parasite in every country it enters. 👍

"Many of the drivers told ABC7 they don’t want to do the artificial surge, but they feel forced to do it after three years of pay cuts. After expenses, many of the drivers say they are making only $5 or $6."

no thx on the sorry/$3 credit & reprimanding 1 driver isn’t sufficient, I want you to operationalize safety protocols so I’m not aggressivelly mocked when alone at night & ask (he refused to answer). That is your fault/clearly you do zero training.
