Baby signing is inclusive to all babies but sign language is particularly important for the deaf community, and for many people with special needs - there should be easy access to sign language for all.

So important to teach this. I am now learning my BSL level 1. It's so important to communicate with others. Thank you Silent Child for creating so much awareness. X

Deaf people have a language known as American Sign Language (ASL), which is linguistically defined as a separate language equal in complexity to English, French, German, etc.

This is how challenging lipreading can be at lightening speed so don't keep the hearing person waiting & incase misunderstood or don't know, needing it repeated then have to do this all over again until get it right! Even harder in dark/noisy!

Just truly realized how inaccessible the various parts of the US Judicial system is to the deaf and hard of hearing. Especially if you can't afford a TTY system or are on your own.
