I'm sorry for saying this but why does it take the death of a "famous" person for the PM to release more funds into cancer treatment and research. I am sure "normal" people who have died might have benefited from it?

RIP Tessa. Deepest condolences to her family🙏 I lost my brother to the same cancer last year. It is such a cruel disease. She was a wonderful lady and her achievements will not be forgotten.

Such sad news at the passing of Dame Tessa Jowell, diagnosed a year ago with a brain tumour. As an MP she fought for more investment in cancer reseach, and for those that needed help, a true MP for the people, may she rest in peace

Devastated to learn of the passing of Her commitment to Britain her beloved south London were astounding. The reporting was her battle from ‘06 & she brilliantly spearheaded the - an incredible woman who will be sorely missed.

Just a little reminder of with our Early Childhood students from at the reception she hosted to promote the Post 2015 Sustainable Development Goals. One of her many achievements was leading the call for to be a goal..it is now 4.2.
