Culloden - a profound silence and only the wind remembers. An unforgettable experience.

The mention of Culloden (even though pronounced incorrectly) and Union in the same sentence, along with the sight of a Union flag blowing in the wind, has chilled my blood and caused my lips to tingle with primitive anger.

Culloden is sad in itself but it was just the start of a brutal suppression of a way of life. Occupation, clearance & transportation were used to try and wipe out a group of people. Fortunately they survived-albeit much depleted. Saor Alba!

IN MEMORY - Some anniversaries aren't as happy as others. 1500-2000 Scots killed in under an hour; many slaughtered as they lay wounded at battle's end. Afterwards London made laws to "incorporate Scotland more fully into the United Kingdom."

Ha Ha, you're a Tosser, Hunt. When trying to make and argument about the Union, make sure you know about or you'll get a Highlander coming after you and you really don't want to mess with them. 😂🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇬🇧

Privateers have been watching us die for centuries. I found a grandad on the Oliver freakin Cromwell! One was drawn and quartered in the highlands. There are cooler folks to be related to than a president, but I’m glad the abolitionists are closer than the opposition.
