Being firmly based in what seems like ground zero for virus infections all our plans to rehearse together are firmly on hold. But thatโ€™s not stopping us being creative and busy making music!

Thanks for the chat. Keep safe everyone and keep singing, either to a screen or 2m away from others in person.

Hello all at tonight! We were absolutely thrilled yesterday evening to hold our first full, indoor rehearsal since March, under all COVID guidelines ๐Ÿ’™๐ŸŽถ Many of us wore special singers' masks hand-made by our fabulous MD Bev! Christmas repertoire sounded wonderful ๐ŸŽ„

๐ŸŽถ Had a thought! Could this be the year to revive carol singing outside? Socially distanced groups of 6 walking around housing estates, singing carols and spreading joy? Like the old days? ( )

Does any choir have any Christmas performances coming up in real life? Are there ways to sing safely in public to enhance an event? Christmas for us is not the same without carols and singing. Maybe a good topic for ?

We are also being filmed next week - our local church is planning an online 'Advent calendar' in December featuring local groups and businesses, and we'll be behind one "door" singing a Christmas ditty ๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŽถ

Thankfully not for us. We all individually agreed we were really keen to sing if we could meet, so found a venue that we could spread out in, did a risk assessment and while it lasts it's a joy.

Hereโ€™s a question to those who have resumed in-person rehearsals. Has this been a significant point of contention amongst your members?
