This was hollowed out from a solid clay body, a technique called Kurinuki. A masterful piece by Eddie Curtis which went to its new home yesterday. Rough body textures echoing British coastlines and a smooth milky white shino lip. Wonderful.

A super morning for Margaret Curtis in the gallery today. These two stunning pieces off to a new home to accompany other Curtis pieces in a growing collection. We adore Margaret's work, easy to see why in these two tea ceremony pieces.

Strange how things go in unconnected waves. This week we have sold so many . I could talk for a whole day on the Japanese teabowl and still only relay 5% of the story behind it. If you want to learn more - call us up, I love talking !
