So humid. So glad to be home, showered of bug spray & hopefully free of chiggers. Cooled off & now ready to prep the harvest. Went looking for yellow gold & found black gold! these blacks were under pine; some moss, but what a surprise!

When Yellow Foot are growing, it's a good indication that Black Trumpet mushrooms may be growing nearby. Yellow Foot chanterelle flavors and aromas are equally delicate and faintly fruity. It is a member of the Cantharellus family though its DNA suggests otherwise.
