15 Hour Jobs Ireland Jul 27
Own a business in Ireland? Hire staff members? Pls consider 15 hr per week positions in Ireland cannot have outside the home for more than 15 hrs a week. Hiring a family carer on a 15 hr per week contract could help a family in more ways than you think

A Thread: in Crises My partner who is my full time carer was admitted to hospital as an emergency today. There were multiple times he had to state he was a full time carer - it never prompted them to ask if the person he cared for was sorted so he could focus on himself.

This would be a start in valuing unpaid contributions to our society. We need to not make lives harder. Carers Allowance rules are complex and out of touch. CA needs reviewing.

I swear if one more health care professional says I need to look after myself & take time for myself without giving me any ideas on how to do this whilst caring for my severely disabled daughter then I will land one on them. Do they tick a box after saying this?

Sadly, for 2nd time 2019 am trying to sort care packages, memory clinics, social work, GP liaison, Acute care, transport. Exhausting, stressful and uncoordinated. You’re on your own with this. This image is not my 😣

often feel making time for their own self-care but if you take care of yourself the person with will also benefit. Put on your own oxygen mask first

Grieving this morning over what's happened to public sector services. I spend *so much* of my time sorting out very basic mistakes. Not to put too fine a point on it, that's what many spend much of their life doing.

THREAD: A few people have asked "how do you do it all?" since I wrote about being carer and a journalist. It's hard to admit but the truth is I don't.

The only thing that's paramount is breaking even...not , , pts on & , & staff. Cutbacks inevitably impact on . New HSE spending restrictions to affect elderly and disabled

Keep going. It hurts some days to take even one step. The front door is miles away and hard to walk through. Don't give up. Keeping going, one small step at a time at your pace. My team behind me. I am blessed.

It is always a pleasure for me to assist the clients at Ridgeway Plus to do things that they don't always get the opportunity to do and even more so when they clearly get great enjoyment out of it

With 1 day to go, a pic of the amazing Dilia Oviedo Guillén, here raising her hand as she's mentioned in the Italian Senate; she's a lifetime carer to a large family of HD sufferers. To all family out there, unsung and unsupported: we take our hats off to you
