I lived in & never called it , which I thought was a very name for the neighborhood; I remember the days when some people would call it 'Newtown'. '' is commercial but at least it's more inclusive...

I love the intentions behind the Boystown name change but something a little more inclusive and meaningful should have been chosen to represent the profound neighborhood

I think a change was needed. But I really wish we keep a LGBTQ+ inspired identity in the neighborhood's name. I fear further gentrification will follow the name removal. Grr, I have a feeling the Wrigleyville empire will slowly engulf my neighborhood.
