Well, this from UK Civil Service just about sums it up really. Boris Johnson knows that the end of Cummings means the end of him. Of course he's not asking him to resign, Cummings didn't tell him to!

We were having such a difficult time weighing up the pros and cons of sending our children back to school. However we've decided on a road trip instead. It's our instinct we feel this is the best thing to do. Any parent would understand.

One of the most saddening things to me is the way the has lost its integrity. Maybe it never had it and I was fooled, but at one time it seemed so reliable

If Boris Johnson claps for the NHS on Thursday I am driving to London to start a revolution. I will be following 'instinct' and acting with 'integrity'

Thank you for tweeting truth to power; Millions did exactly as instructed - even those going through personal hell; people stayed at home, to protect NHS & save lives - trashed in 36 minutes of Boris basically saying you didn’t have to do that!

Remember that these "extra" police are merely replacements for those that have been unnecessarily (and detrimentally) cut over the last 10 years of Conservative mismanagement.

Boris Johnson said that he wanted to unite the whole of the country. Well he certainly did that this weekend.

I really think that we all need to come together to make a stand against BJ. Schools refuse to open, transport workers refuse to work, police etc show them who votes for them in the first place!

The chances of 'Our PM' sacking Dominic Cummings were 0. Boris Johnson is little more than a sock puppet. Tough to sack the guy actually running the country.
