Any merchant announcing they accept bitcoin as a payment is a win for everyone. Using is definitely less of a win, but still a win, a step in the right direction. It gets these merchants comfortable with the idea of Bitcoin and how it works and that's a good thing.

AT&T just made it possible to pay your phone bill with . It’d be better if they accepted directly, rather than using to convert BTC to fiat. Regardless, it’s good to see AT&T to experiment with the feature - a good move toward the mainstream adoption.

In March, quietly removed and bitcoin cash as payment options for subscriptions by removing as a payment method. They enabled them back now though those coins as payment options has not been announced on the company’s blog or in a press release.
