There are many phonemic charasteristics from one language that can be beneficial and even helpful in learning another language. 🤔Knowing Spanish helped me to be a better English speller. EX: ILEGALES is Spanish for ILLEGALS

--not "racist barrier" as such since, say, white immigrants from US or UK most unlikely to know French either; but point is valid as % of immigrants knowing both official languages not high--example of clashing w/official , no real solution
