My and is this beautiful from Feb 2020 - I had seen her before with damaged inflamed eye and kept thinking That’s the last I’ll see of her - but she - I hope I’ll see her again when the eagles return.

Bald eagles are not actually bald; the name derives from an older meaning of the word, "white headed". The adult is mainly brown with a white head and tail. The sexes are identical in plumage, but females are about 25 percent larger than males.

A bald eagle high up in the sky over Meadow Lake this morning. We were all waiting for the YH blackbird to reappear and seeing the bald eagle was a great bonus! Super cropped as the eagle was too high, but such a wonderful sight to see! 🦅

On vacation a few years ago, we saw a Bald Eagle. Perhaps we expected too much, but I thought he would be this majestic beast ... but, he was a Blep Eagle, and he did his best. Photos by @impluviumstudios, captions by me!
