Morrison will always be remembered as the Prime Minister that fiddled while Australia burnt to the ground.

I reckon I can sum up Morrison in eight simple words: He doesn’t get it, and he doesn’t care.

How fossil fuel lobbying shaped the outcome of the 2019 election - this is big, and important reading while we try and make sense of and inertia on climate action. A thread /1

I produced this to show the impact of strategic management on wildfire during extreme fire weather years in northern Australia. Both 2004 & 2019 where tough years, however, more resources and a lot of hard work on the ground in 2019 resulted in much less wildfire

In case you missed this 30 second homage to Murdoch's talking points from Michael McCormack during his condolence speech today. ❌ Fuel Loads ❌ Arsonists ❌ NOT without precedent Disrespectful hubris

Wow Scott Morrison's bushfire condolence speech might be the most self-indulgent memorial I've ever heard. The humble-brag about helping the Pacific Nations was particularly low, considering him & his MPs were caught on camera joking about the Pacific drowning.

Climate scientist Michael Mann reminds us that the Garnaut report predicted 12 years ago. Andrew Constance reminds us the fires started in winter last year. But still the C/w Govt sat back. And still Jim Molan says - not our problem.

My colleagues & I are raising funds to address the in February. 10% of our earning will be donated as the fires have not stop & neither will our efforts. Everyone I know has done something to help and I’m so proud - for those who can keep helping please do x

I never was one for public protesting, anything resembling a 'mob mentality' always gave me anxiety. I have to say though, my mind has been changed in recent years, first with the gay marriage plebiscite, now with the & Good on you Canberra!

Saw Pat Karvelas trying to interview , who demonstrated the LNP's latest inane three word slogan "Resilience & Adaptation" by babbling rapidly, loudly, non-stop and over the top of her and Ed Husic while refusing to answer questions

Capitalism wrecked many lives causing the oblivion of many family's due to a lack of care & welfare. It is not fair to ask those sufferers to be a welfare care for global worriers & the ppl with children of tomorrow. Become natives yourself. Go live in the woods

Clearing land makes future hotter, by drying out the land, lowering humidity, lowering rainfall. Then when it finally rains, it runs off, so instead soaking into the spongy root systems, it flows into a flood. Logging is destroying our wildlife habitat

Green bursts of life returning to forests burnt out in early November (Forster, NSW Mid North Coast). A long, long way to go, and sadly not all forests will recover like this. Still, an encouraging and hopeful start.
