I wonder how many people are twiddling their thumbs waiting for 22:09 so they can start on the veil without having to do a meridian flip 😂

Just took this on a tripod with Night Mode on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. Got Cassiopeia and the Andromeda Galaxy in the same photo. Second photo is the outline of Cass and a pointer for Andromeda. Good chance Twitter’s compression will hide Andromeda from view.

Absolutely terrible Summer for me this year. Managed to "finish" just a single target. The Cave Nebula - Caldwell 9. Only 6 or 7 hours each channel, would have loved 20 each but the sky did not cooperate. Here's hoping for a good Fall/Winter season! :)

I don't think I have ever encountered atmospheric clarity like we have tonight, even with some light pollution. If you have a minute, wander outside and look up, it's amazing

Here's a widefield of the Cocoon Nebula I shot on 9-2. I've been having fun imaging familiar DSOs in a new perspective. 🤠🔭

So, the crescent Nebula moved behind the trees, only managed to capture the Hydrogen Alpha data tonight, will have to go for Oxygen another night. Here's a rough edit of 75 minutes of Ha data. I lost another 75 minutes due to poor focusing :-(

Look for The Pleiades this fall 🌌🍂 Here is a photo I took in 2012 using my Canon DSLR and an 80mm telescope. I still remember the first time I saw this star cluster through a telescope, and it does not disappoint! 25 x 3.5-minutes @ ISO 1600

A Soul Nebula project I'm working on. Here's 5 hours of Hydrogen Alpha data shot on an Altair HyperCam 183m Tec, through a Baader 7nm Ha filter with Skywatcher 72ED optics. Loving it, can't wait for a full image

Can't believe a telescope has detected water molecules on the surface of a planet 110 light years away !? 🙄 🌎

Dew strap worked overnight, managed to get some data for the eastern vale, and then.. a windows update. So, resumed imaging at 4am (3.5 hours lost) but upside is I switched over and got my first Orion Nebula shot of the autumn!
