Did you know Asbestos is a naturally occuring mineral extracted from the ground? I get asked is it mold, is it spores, is it infectious. No it is fibres of mineral as can be seen on the outside of this greenish rock from an Asbestos mine in Northern Corsica.

If you work in any type of property maintenance have you had asbestos awareness training? If yes has it been more that an year since your last training? Could you identify asbestos and know what do do if you accidentally disturbed it? If not you are at risk of exposure.

📣FACT OF THE DAY In 🇦🇺 Australia, was widely used in construction and other industries between 1946 and 1980. From the 1970s there was increasing concern about the dangers of asbestos, and its use was phased out. Mining ceased in 1983.
