I've got titles on my mind tonight&I'm curious--how do y'all come up with your titles? Is it a gut feeling? A theme? A piece of world building? Do you make lists? Or perhaps a sacrifice to the writing gods over holy fire during a blood moon? I WANNA KNOW

Do you ever read your own work and then burst out laughing? I spread my legs. And I said, as seductively as I could: “Hurry up.”

“Vigorous writing is concise. A sentence should contain no unnecessary words, a paragraph no unnecessary sentences, for the same reason that a drawing should have no unnecessary lines and a machine no unnecessary parts.” —William Strunk Jr., The Elements of Style

If you’ve never written something sooo bad you wanted to go into the future, build a time machine to go back in time to delete the whole thing, then I question if you’ve ever written anything.

Don't you just love it when you're editing and you've moved scenes around to cut the bloat, and then come to a scene and realize that in the new timeline one of the people in it are now dead, and the MC thinks another is the killer? And it's all wrong?

Got my first royalty check today! That was kind of cool. I'm not rich, that's for sure, but at least I sold more than the eight books my Dad bought!!! 😳😊
