A little oil sketch of my son wearing his mother’s hat, wrapped up in a red blanket. Painted on wooden board (ply with 2 coats of gesso and 1 coat of acrylic) which is a new surface for me. Was good to work on, but still prefer the feel and bounce of canvas.

Just for fun. The peonies were all flopped over from the rain...I decided to sacrifice a few in the name of art
