It is a simplification, but I enjoy pointing out the self-righteous hypocrisy on of supporting socialism for Farmers, but not for others. Crop insurance vs health insurance is a PERFECT example. The mental gymnastics Farmers go through to justify it amuses me.

I know all the cool kids like to throw shade at , but I have to say itโ€™s a pretty cool event that has taken place over the last 10 years or so. Itโ€™s a whole new Ag community that sprang up completely on its own, not from an organization, checkoff, or anything else

This map shows precipitation compared with average (based on 1951-2018 data). We're looking at as much as 22.26 inches of precip ABOVE AVERAGE in just over 1 month's time. Wowza. Where are you on this map, friends?

Hey , need some advice. Neighbor stopped by with an idea this week: "We oughta get one of them fancy planes out here and broadcast corn. As wet & muddy as it is, if he's going 100mph 100ft up it should get a couple inches in the ground right?" Will it work?

This is the best fallow (set-aside) mixed crop Iโ€™ve ever had! Untouched since the combine left the field in August! Remarkably clean plants too. if I was to combine this and use as winter wild bird food only would this be breaking scheme rules? I hate wasting things.

Armyworms truly live up to their name. Thousands caught within minutes. Coming out of a ryegrass cover crop just looking for a or field to chow down. Scouting is essential this time of year.
