You can't have it both ways. Our society doesn't get to talk about the importance of bonding and caring for our unborn, then glorify the separation of mothers and babies.

Three years ago I signed tpr papers. My baby wasn't even born yet and I was convinced by the agency that it was just how things go. They said I could decide after birth to stop things, but that wasn't really true. Today I can't get out of bed. My whole body feels sad

Fastest growing subset - babies under 7 days old. Young mothers who have to come to court within days of delivery to resist separation from their babies. 150% increase in number of brand new mothers so bad or mad their babies have to be removed?

Listening to those who experience social work practice - relationship with SW is KEY. Some painful examples from birth parents about how inhumanely they felt they had been treated. Lack of honesty, listening, support. Really strong messages

Women and men who choose over exhibit a determination and selflessness that is astonishing to watch. In the short run it’s often the harder choice, but it provides life for a child and is a beautiful thing.

1. Adoptive parents (AP's) don't want their child to be defined by being adopted. 2. AP's (some/many) want to celebrate each year the day the child joined the family calling it "Gotcha Day" or other term. 3. Isn't the 2nd a direct contradiction of the 1st?

how do you handle anger that rises in you even when nothing has happened in that moment to seemingly cause it? But you know it's triggered by a memory, truth or reality
