Astonishingly (how naive am I) - with climate emergency, 6th max extinction & worsening congestion - car use continues to increase for the methods of transport to school for both primary and secondary 🤦🚗🚙🏫 What's happened to ??!!

This 🙌 We live in a country that dares to you cycle, not enables you to. There are some great people trying to make safer and more appealing, but until an entire city or government *actually* gets behind the idea and builds infrastructure, a shift won't happen.

There are now 400 of these parks in residential streets in just 1 borough . There’s now waiting lists for spaces. Would be great to see these in - particularly on our streets without gardens/safe storage.

One of a few super wet days for in Cork. Looks worse than it really is. What I gain is a huge time saving (passed ±100 cars coming in), no fuel/parking costs, reliable parking. And an early start at work. Just without shoes or socks...

This needs to be looked at again, and this time the views of pedestrians & cyclists need to be taken into consideration. Shaftesbury Square, GVS, Dublin Rd, Botanic and Bradbury Place could be transformed by a focus on rather than greyspace for cars.
