I'm nearly 40, born in the Republic and lived there till 2009, now I live in NI. I've never had autonomy over my own body, here is a chance to change that so my daughters don't have the same experience. Please do the right thing.

Nothing to see here, just a couple of old dudes explaining to the women why abortion is always wrong...

Whether you see an unborn foetus as a living being or not, all women should be given . Women should be in control of their own bodies.

Incredible thread, it's long but worth taking the time to read. An insight into the laws those in need of abortion have been up against in NI and exactly why we are here

With regards to the and votes this afternoon, it goes like this: Yes, it SHOULD be voted on, and passed, by the NI Assembly. But it’s NOT GOING TO BE.

I know there's an opinion piece in the Bel tel that is getting a lot of attention 👀 I also wrote one celebrating the passing of NC1 and NC10 and noting that we aren't done yet!

We’ve made it VERY CLEAR that and are NECESSARY and DESIRED, but if we wait for the NI Assembly to deliver them, it could be YEARS more. At this point, making it an issue in Westminster is the only way we’re going to get them.

We should never have been forced to share our stories to get abortion healthcare but we won’t stop now. Our bodies should not be battlegrounds and they are no one’s crusade. They are ours alone.

The amazing Naomi Connor from calmly and articulately telling it like it is for women in Northern Ireland, to counteract this outrageous anti-choice, anti-women language.

We welcome the news that the New Zealand legal abortion bill passed the first read to decriminalise abortion and allow self referral for abortion care up to 20 weeks. It will also include the introduction of safe access zones.
