You can draw your own conclusions about what the imagery in this brochure says about advertising in the early 80s as well as who Zastava's French importer thought its customers were. The Yugo 55GTL/65GTL were new names for the elderly Fiat 128-derived 101.

The car often called simply the Yugo vanished from most markets after 1992. Yet 10 years later the little car, now known as the Ciao, was still being made, surviving sanctions and the bombing of its factory. This brochure is partly in English.

This early Zastava Yugo 45 brochure comes from France and pitches the car as a useful and fun little vehicle. As well as the standard model there is a sportier-looking version with stripes and alloys., the AC, named after importer André Chardonnet.

A brand-new M70B3 for sale in , . As you can see, the rifle was manufactured in 2015. Also notice this brilliant decision how to make rifle's buttstock more lightweight. The price is only $200.

A licence-built version of the Fiat 600, Zastava's 750 is the car that put Yugoslavia on wheels, with production lasting into the 1980s. Most examples stayed at home but this brochure shows it was successfully exported to The Netherlands.

Zastava is better known in the west for its later cars, but this leaflet for the Yugoslav domestic market shows its 1300 Luxe, built on Fiat licence.

The Serbian Zastava M92. A very weird thing to see in the Pak-Afghan region. A few ex-Yugoslavian AK 's can be seen from time-to-time yet this is a first to see.

For diaspora enthusiasts of motoring, the 1100 was imported into (West) Germany as from 1979. Unlike the text suggests, it wasn't just "a from Yugoslavia", but a truly iconic design classic 👏 - unlike the Fiat 128 original ☝ via
