Sorry to rant but... The next person who says: β€œyou know your characters aren’t real, right?”is going to get a piece of my mind! Duh! I know they’re fictional but they still make me laugh, cry, and teach me life lessons, and that is SO real.

So, we all keep track of how many words we put on the page, but does anyone else keep track of all the words they edit out? I always have a file of "deleted parts". Like a creepy, word graveyard. πŸ‘»

Has anyone actually sat in a Starbucks or coffee shop to write? I feel like I would get distracted and spend my time people watching. πŸ’πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

Here's a difficult question for anyone brave enough to answer. Why do you write? For me it's the happiness for following a passion. Whether I'm ever successful or not, it fulfills something for me. I know we have a lot of reasons. What's yours?

To self-published authors... Almost no one clicks through and buys a book just because you tweet the title and a link, even if it's on special offer. Write a mini-blurb, a teaser sentence or even a fucking haiku. People are more likely to buy it and/or RT

I don't think of my characters as "pretend people". They are as real to me as the person walking down the sidewalk towards me. I may not have a conversation with them, but they are real, without a shadow of a doubt. Or...I'm just crazy 😊

WRITERS WITH FULL-TIME JOBS: Please tell me how you do it? I'm back at work full time as of Monday. I have a polished draft of one novel, but I'm itching to start a second, and just don't know how to fit it in. What do you do? How do you prioritize your time?

Hey - I've been trying to write more short stories, and I'm wondering how y'all go about planning them. Do you outline short stories? Or do you just wing it? I normally outline for novel-length stories but can't figure out what to do for these short ones!

Hey ! I'm curious about the similarities you find in each of your works, the results of your hyperactive subconscious. Aka your "brand." My brand is rebellions and weird, antisocial psychics.

How negotiable is the title of your MS? Is it just a placeholder? Would you change for the right suggestion? Would you rather die than let it go?? Just curious 😊
