So is a "noble warrior hero" but in a deleted scene she goes full "kneel before Zod" on some idiot. In writing we call that "out of character moment." And you can't draw "similarities" to Superman 2, T2 or Rocket Racoon. Different contexts/characters.

WHO are the best writer models to follow? We believe it's Ernest Hemingway and F. Scott Fitzgerald. Very different, but-- -remarkable stylists -charismatic -led spectacular lives -accessible writing -understood form.

I just took one of my FAVORITE chapters & completely rewrote the mood, dialogue & context b/c it no longer fit the narrative I'm building. Was it good before? Yes. But was it as powerful? No. is being willing to take your work & tear it apart in order to build it up.
