Thought I wouldn’t see snow again until next fall... apparently I was wrong. I just packed all winter gear away too. Well, positive note, I’m going to make some snow sculptures that I wasn’t able to do, and enjoy whatever weather comes my way ❄️ ⛄️🤣😄

Had a really nice sunrise at Island Lake State Park yesterday morning. Freezing fog over the partially frozen lake froze to all the surrounding trees with temperatures near 0°F. Rime ice is cool.

Give snowplows the room to do their job! Today at the Eisenhower Tunnel I signed a bill to make it illegal to pass snow plows that are arranged diagonally clearing our roads.

❄️ Snow little time, snow much to do. City of Council Bluffs using dump trucks to move snow after this weekend’s dumped 7 to 8 inches. Possibly more snow on the way this week! 🙈

Here’s a quick update on the headed our way! is expecting 1-3” of snow & sleet, with up to 6” of snow north and west and then mainly rain to the south and east. It seems the rain-snow line will follow the 95 corridor. See you on at 11! 🥶
