Today on I remember my mum who sailed from Jamaica to Britain in 1950 on the SS Ariguani of the Elders and Fyffes shipping line. She was part of the generation that helped to build our NHS

My mum was invited to the U.K. by the NHS to be a nurse. She then went on to work for BUPA, managed care homes and after that worked for the Care Quality Comission to ensure those who needed care, got it. Thank you to the , they’ve worked tirelessly for others.
