Ethnic minority members of the Conservative Party are more angry about a black Labour MP calling out racism than they were about the illegal detention and deportation of the generation. The cognitive dissonance required to be a non-white Tory is mind-boggling.

One way to reduce racism on the streets is for black officers to reach decision making positions, they can then implement non-racist policies and procedures. I would also venture that excessive stop & search would reduce.

Given he's a member of an institutionally racist party that facilitated the scandal, it's hardly surprising Shaun Bailey has sprung to the defence of the Met Police. Ignoring blatant acts of racism is a job requirement for all non-white Tories.

Happy Jamaican Independence Day! (6th Aug 1962) ❤️ 🇯🇲 Worth remembering: 1/Jamaica is a member of the Commonwealth & Elizabeth II is still its Queen & Head of State. 2/Jamaicans were 1st invited to Britain in 1948, to rebuild *their* country.
