After this male House Finch landed, he seemed to be watching other birds. The House Finch's color is a reflection of what they eat, so I was wondering what kind of berries he had been eating to become this shade of red when he took off and disappeared into the trees.

Relocate beavers - don’t kill them. Allow these aquatic engineers to improve Scotland’s landscapes and nature. You can stop the unnecessary killing by signing and sharing this petition.

As beautiful as this big is, should be enjoyed in protected reserves / parks or sanctuaries, or left alone in the wild. Too many stories of "owners" who end up neglecting (or abusing) an animal they could not take care of appropriately.

Make sure you leave water out for in this hot weather. Last night the hoglets were glad of it.

Our two little hedgehog visitors (Ziggy & Iggy) were eating together tonight, one of them was sat in the water bowl! Not sure if you can tell how small they are but together they're the size of a saucer. Pic taken through a window so it's not great. 🦔🦔

This fella emptied an entire bird feeder in ten minutes, and buried all the peanuts in my garden.

Do you need a happy story? This morning I was walking my kelpie just after dawn when she stopped to watch something on the side of the road. I couldn’t believe my eyes - it was a tiny possum just walking in the grass .. then trying to climb a telegraph pole.

During the heat of summer, the numerous wallows around the reserve become popular spots for , , buffalo and even warthogs to cool off and coat themselves with the cool mud.
