Using dreams are awful and are scary. Just part of recovery though. They become less and not as bothersome the longer you stay sober. God willing I will have 4 years sober in September. Just know the promises do come true as long as you don’t use.

Recovery is a gradual process. There is no “finish line” nor a single moment when you make the big transition from alcoholic/addict to being fully recovered or cured. What it does require is to take that first step.

I detoxed cold turkey from Heroin/Crack/Meth with nothing but the laying on of hands. Yes, I felt the withdrawl every single night. No sleep, vomiting, I couldn't stomach food/liquid, I was restless, anxious... all that.

25 yrs, 5 different diagnoses, dependent on MH system. Then finally received the right treatment. 30 yrs on medication. Now 2 yrs medication free, fully functioning. Please listen to our stories. Trauma informed care ++. There are others like me with the right help
