and concessions are now 25%...I feel they were 50% before...it completely changes the event being accessible surely - the 25% concession doesn't even get you down to full 2017 price. And now impossible to invite/pay for someone to come along with you to experience it.

yes, indeed! I imagine they can get away with it/not lose ppl, attracting usual Southbank Centre attendees, but the isn't about 'usual' its about disruption and change, and it needs to be accessible exactly as you say and also attract those giving things a go/exploring.
