The fog isn't impacting the coast this morning, but we still thought we'd share what looks like a beautiful morning out west as well!

6 years ago today a short lived modified arctic front moved down Puget Sound and dropped a couple inches of snow in spots. Blowing snow and brush north wind followed.

We're already seeing several areas of fog form around the area this evening, as seen in these cameras from near Everett and Auburn, respectively. Expect reduced visibility, and be sure to slow down & use your headlights if on the roads tonight or early tomorrow!

Beautiful lenticular clouds forming over the Cascades today, including ! These often form ahead of rain as moisture increases aloft, and air is forced to rise over the mountains. Thanks to Scatter Creek Aerials for the shot!

Satellite continues to show some clearing across the region this afternoon. We got a great view of the moon rising here at the office...(sorry, no close ups-office moon photographers currently not on shift). Drier conditions on tap for W WA tonight and into Sunday.

The fog is going to continue to move into the area tonight and will still be here come morning. Additionally, a few locations outside of the Seattle metro area are at or below freezing. With fog and possibly light drizzle things could get a little icy out there. Stay safe!
