Paul Volcker: Former US Federal Reserve chief dies aged 92. RIP Paul Volcker. It's arguably Volcker, not Greenspan, who's the most successful Fed Chair in our time.

Anyone else see the macroeconomic irony of ’ statement being shared at around the same time Paul ’s death was announced? You probably have to be old enough to have suffered through learning monetary policy analyses in the 80s.

Former Fed chairman Paul has died at age 92. I remember the 18% interest rates of the time. If only I would have bought 30 year zero coupon bonds back then :-(

I met paul at an conservation event he supported. There were outdoor activities and as- I bent to speak earnestly in his good ear- fireworks. I thought I'd made some good points as he inscribed his autobiography for me. Later I saw he'd written only: "EXPLOSIONS!"
