In , you can destroy just the current script instance instead of the whole game object by passing 'this' to the Destroy() method. Can come in handy for removing certain behaviors from objects!

I knew Mono wasn't that efficient a runtime, but I had that spelt out for me today. If you have a struct of primitives of more than 40 bytes, it seems the runtime cannot optimize away unnecessary copies, making code much slower (15x in microbenchmarks)

Related to this, I used to have a warmup scene that I needed to start my game from which had things like GameManager on it. Now I use a script that loads all prefabs in a folder before anything else then have one of them load the title scene
