So there were fewer Salt Lake Co. provisionals counted than some originally predicted - around 8,100. But McAdams (D) won them 5,176 to 2,921 - a much better-than-expected margin for him. Now, it's extremely hard to see how Rep. Mia Love (R) overcomes that deficit.

Decision Desk HQ officially calls for Ben McAdams. Utah County's final vote drop is not large enough to force a recount- and Salt Lake County has some outstanding ballots left. Love has run out of potential votes to surprise.

Wow: Mia Love down 53-46% with over half of precincts in reporting. Dems on track to surpass expectations in the House, probably hit around 35 seats when all is said and done.

Rep. Mia Love (R)’s defeat to Ben McAdams (D) in gets Dems to +39, w/ the possibility of +40 in (I still think Rs will hold & ). The past two weeks have almost gone worse for House Republicans than Election Night itself.

It’s over. Democrat Ben McAdams has ousted GOP Rep. Mia Love in by 694 votes. That’s either the 39th or 40th pick-up by the Democrats in the House — I’ve lost track at this point, lol! Either way, that’s a HUGE blue wave! 🌊
