Khairy will be marginalized within the party. He cannot jump into PH, at least while Tun is still there. Creating a new party, this is very hard to make successful. As I see it, the only site for pivot can only come from Pemuda, provided they are smart & strategic enough.

& PAS's main strategy to win next GE: Convince the electorate that they are fighting for Malays & Muslims. causes, unlike PH. This won't work! Besides, a large segment of the current UMNO leadership will be in jail soon. Next GE, a goner for UMNO w/o some radical pivot!

's biggest mistake after the last GE was to re-elect more or less the same crop of leaders in their recent party elections. This will doom the party unless the next party elections are better.

Only pivot I see now that'll beat PH in their own game: Ditch Ethnic Nationalism & Call for Inclusive Populism which has been very electorally successful around the world. But a charismatic say-as-it-is oratory figurehead is needed a la Duterte-Trump-Bolsonaro-AMLO.
