This building may not look like much but it's just a cube that assesses it's own size and adds the correct number of windows through the material. Not only that but the interiors are all just cube map projections! Let's take a deep dive into how to make something like this. .

This is a little quality of life thing but F11 will fullscreen your viewport and Shift + F11 will make hide the task bar for proper fullscreen use (across the entire editor). Most people know the first thing but not the second thing.

So, today I can finally reveal what I've been working on as I've gotten permission to Open Source it from the studio. Everyone, meet Colorblind Accessibility Tool. It allows for project-wide CVD settings without the need for Post Process LUTs

The new version of (4.23) has Dual Exponential Height Fog which lets you have added control over fog in your level by adding a second tier of fog. It's pretty.

Spent half the day working with Editor Utility Widgets in and made this procedural landscape generation tool. Doesn't have a single line of code in it, it's all Blueprint! I'll post a tutorial on this at some point. I wanted to have a nicer solution to starting environments.

Messing around with the cloud shader to see if I could make some trees! They don't hold up too well close up but I like the painterly look 😊

I'm really happy with the "feel" of vehicles in this project. If you're working on a Physics/Vehicle game, get a MIDI controller and use it to tweak on the fly. Having a physical dial/slider is more intuitive than typing out numeric values!

I used the tower generator I made to set up this scene in one afternoon. Every single asset here (even the dunes) were procedurally made with Houdini.

Happy everyone! I made a portal material in the and a particle system. 🎮✨Using mostly parallel occlusion mapping as well as a cube map and lots of UV math. Let me know what you think! | | | 1/2
