Tulu is one among the highly evolved Dravidian languages with history and tradition. It was my privilege to have served in Tulu land and to have seen the richness of the Epic of Siri & Koti and Chennayya. It richly deserves this inclusion.

Our struggle is to get Tulu the importance it deserves. If Tulu is made an official language it gives our literature and our identity a big push.

Tulu being one of the 5 dravidian langs of South India, struggling hard to get recognized is merely an irony. There are more than 1.85m(as per 2001cs) tulu speakers around the globe.Respected authorities should declare it as 1 of the official langs of KA & KL.
