is a high-end Tropical Storm with 70mph winds and 85mph gusts. Isaac is very close to Hurricane strength and expected to become one in the next 12-24 hours. Some risk/threat of wind/rain/flooding for parts of the Tropical Caribbean during the next week.

USVI AIRPORTS UPDATE The USVI's airports are open. As of 9 a.m. today there are no plans to close the Henry E. Rohlsen Airport on St. Croix or the Cyril E. King Airport on St. Thomas. VIPA has not received any notices of cancellations from any airline.

TS Isaac is now showing signs of turning north near Cuba Friday and then toward the Florida Keys. Still too early to know for certain, but there's a chance the Keys could be impacted. If so, it will be a weak tropical storm at that point. CBS 12 News
