The human rights issues, like the prohibitions on genocide and torture, are jus cogens (peremptory norms of international law) that may never be violated. Arbitrary arrests, Detentions, Torture... In occupied Tibet China violates with impunity every norm on human rights !

Before the Chinese invasion, Tibet had nothing to do with the Chinese. What did the Chinese bring to in July, 1949 when they invaded this country at the top of the world? They brought many disasters and great sorrows to the Tibetan people. Thubten J Norbu brother of HHDL

The survival of Tibet as a nation and the Tibetans as a culturally distinct people depends on its language. China’s policies to destroy Tibetan language are clear attacks on the root of Tibetan identity. B D Sonam free

No country in the international arena, especially the Western nations, will speak up for Tibet as they have fallen prey to China's economic might. China does not respect any international treaties and laws Tenzin Tsundue

Saddened to hear of the passing of Ama Adhe today. Her story is an important one and i consider myself lucky to have known her. She was put into forced labour camps by the Chinese government and suffered for over 27 years there. History seems to be repeating itself.
