Jonathan Trott's segment in is one of the most powerful insights into the sacrifices made to reach the top of professional sport. Just a brilliant documentary.

I know I'm harping on about it but on BBC is such a wonderful sporting documentary, you don't even need to like cricket. Or even sport really. It's a fasinating story of a team's rise to world #1 and the incredible personal challenges of doing so

Superb doc on BBC Two right now on over the last 10 years. Well worth catching up on if you aren't watching, and not just because it's just treated us to this classic clip.

Fuck me, first time watching The Edge and I’m nearly in bits, what a sport cricket is and what a bloke Jonathan Trott is. So unbelievably good.

My thoughts on The Edge. Amazing insight. Gripping. Inspirational music. Great mental health awareness. KP knew much more than we knew. Man management was non existent. Win at all costs. Micheal Clarke is a twat!

Might be a bit harsh but what I’m getting from this documentary is that England team didn’t have the mental strength to cope with having the target of being no. 1 in the world on their back

Wow just watching didn’t realise how much abuse is dished out at the crease between opposing teams. Jimmy Anderson tho 😍😂

I loved this team. Gave me so much joy as an fan. Cook, Strauss, Trott, Pietersen, Bell, Collingwood, Prior, Broad, Swann, Finn, Anderson. Sacrificed a lot to get to number 1, Ashes wins at home and Down Under, T20 World Cup. Win in India. Happy, happy days.

If you want an example of what highly performing people suffer in terms of psychological injury / burnout / anxiety / depression / wellbeing watch It’s not really about cricket. I’ve seen it twice now and it’s fabulous. And I’ve seen EM in it both times.

Hard not to feel for some of the England team, and Jonathan Trott in particular, in When we cheer or barrack people in sport, we often have no idea of what's going on behind the scenes

One thing already abundantly clear from Graeme Swann is an even bigger bell end than I thought.
