No one should be victimized by sexual assault. Today I signed Melissa’s Law to close a loophole that gave lighter sentences to some rapists. If you sexually assault someone in Texas you will face stiff punishment.

Meet one of TX's "school safety instructors". He goes by "Troglodyte" on the TX CHL Forum & he's carrying so many guns, mags & knives that he can't find a good way to carry his cell phone. Thx for nothing, . I mean, really....

I enjoyed the Pearland Lions Club Meeting last night. This club in the last 4 years, has given back almost 3/4 of a million dollars back to community based organizations. Thank you for allowing me to attend, pray with you and share a few words.

So Blue Bell licking is “despicable” but you endorsed an indicted fraudster for Texas Attorney General? Indicted Ken Paxton faces 99 years in prison for defrauding his friends and clients. Yet you gave him hundreds of thousands of dollars. Pretty gross all around.

Thanks to 's mismanagement of Austin, leading to public instances of violence, hard drug use, and sexual assault—all gone unaddressed—I can no longer bring my family to enjoy the downtown area. Not fit for kids. It's a huge shame. This city used to be great.

What an awesome day in Freestone County today! The turnout at each event was great. I met with local business owners, Fairfield City Council members, Freestone County Commissioners Court, Fairfield EDC, and finished with a public town hall!

When I earned this Eagle Scout medal 30 years ago, my family didn’t have to pay for it. Neither did my troop. That’s because a big supporter of the Boy Scouts paid for every Eagle Scout medal himself. His name was Ross Perot. 🇺🇸 RIP

Texas is enforcing the ban on sanctuary cities. Here’s the latest in the legal battle against San Antonio. This is the first major test of the Texas Sanctuary Ban & will be in courts for awhile. Expect more enforcement in coming months.

Our Fellow Nick from Hays County spent today advocating for cite-and-release policies, which authorize police to forgo arresting individuals for certain misdemeanor offenses. We need common sense criminal justice reform, and we need more folks like Nick to speak up!
