โ€œif Naomi [Hersi] had dared to become a teacher, like Lucy, or gone into politics, like Lily Madigan, or even done something as banal as having children or getting married, sheโ€™d be front-page news. Instead when she is murdered, her death goes largely unreported.โ€

No, I'm Not Going Quietly Mar 31
Today is . I'm trans, and very lucky. I have a loving family, I transitioned aged 21 in a country where I had medical support. I'm now 38, married and have kids. I've seen more hatred and violence toward trans people lately, and it must stop.

Not everyone can be visible due to their safety and for everyone who feels this unsafe in their own skin- WE will be visible for you! WE will continue to fight for our rights around the country and the world so that one day NO ONE will have to hide their true self! ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿผ

Trans people deserve visibility because they are PEOPLE. They deserve visibility because they are some of the most vulnerable members of our communities. Visibility=more safety

Sending love this to all the trans/nonbinary folks who can't be out safely; can't transition in a way they wish to if they do; can't access proper healthcare; can't share on since it'd be a matter of life or death.
