Today the House Elections Committee is hearing S.B. 9. I firmly believe that a healthy and vibrant democracy with an informed, engaged, and active electorate is paramount to our mutual success as a people. This bill is not in line with those values.

After 16 hours of waiting, Zoraima and I finally got to testify just past midnight. We did so on behalf of all those who were prevented from speaking in this committee. SB 9 is an attack on our work to empower young people to vote and it must be stopped.
