Bird Aware Solent🦆 Oct 20
The rangers spotted a lovely little group of Turnstones today who were living up to their name, turning over stones & looking for their lunch! They may be small but these guys are pretty strong! 😍💪😮

Spits are a great place for our overwintering coastal birds to rest and conserve energy to survive our winter before flying back to Artic climes in April. Let's give them space to avoid disturbing them

Look at them go! 😍 Often seen running in and out of the tide, Sanderling are very busy little birds! They are not alone however, who else can you spot in the video?

Godwits, like many of our shore birds, have a small window of opportunity to feed at low tide when the mud is exposed. So if you're walking along the Solent coast on this lovely Sunday please keep an eye out and admire them from a distance.
