No matter how beautiful they are and the fact I used to live not far from there, I will always read the stiperstones as stripperstones and I don’t know why

My new 70-200mm lens has had its first outing, and I was very happy with the result. Here is early morning light on the Lawley, seen from Caer Caradoc, with the landscape stretching into the distance.

I've been trying to send an email so have found myself driving around the looking for signal. I asked some locals but they'd never heard of the internet...however...apparently there is a phone at the big house.

I think yonder Hill is The Wrekin. My map reading is pretty shoddy. It could just as easily be Kilamanjiro. Further to that I have probably mispelled both of them.

Another stunning image from Manstone Rock at 536 metres, the highest point on the Stiperstones Ridge. You'll definitely need your flask of tea up there! 😉

Ultimately, my plan to keep the rain behind me, & run as quickly as possible was fruitless. It caught me at the 5.33 mile mark & I spent the last 1.5 miles getting soaked! Still, it made for dramatic skies!
