And so my pivot from the lab into began 7 yrs ago! If I hadn't put myself out there, networked like hell & pushed hard, then I wouldn't be . Don't be afraid to challenge yourself with change if it's a better fit for you. It won't be easy, but it will be worth it.

FYI, citations are just one way to measure research impact. Last year, I also did on Twitter, was interviewed for a podcast ( 👋), and met with conservation stakeholders in Madagascar to discuss my work. Wish my Google Scholar profile had those as well!
