Apparently the park didn't have enough sand... A truck dumped off more yesterday, so today it was "Fill Up Your Shoes With Sand" day... Whether you wanted to or not.

this debate over how we convey dangers by wind speed started big time after then gets dropped until next hurricane that's not a major does major damage would ppl have left Long Beach & Breezy Point if emphasis wasn't on winds.

Today, called “one of the most powerful and devastating storms ever to hit our country.” Lie. It was a category 2 hurricane.

I make a point to tell everyone that did this to New Yorkers during even after employees had been told to evacuate or shelter in place. Companees that do this should be sued or shunned

Can we all agree a category system based on wind is kind of foolish when storm surge and flash flooding are the real dangers. Think of and both were cat 1s that dropped to tropical storms on landfall just like

You think less wind means less damage?! Check out projected rain totals over the next two days. Remember was a "post tropical cyclone" with hurricane force winds when it hit.

When was the last time ANY President handled a well ? How did Obama do with Sandy ? How did Bush do with Katrina ? The residents at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue should just shut up and let the qualified people handle the work.

As a student of anthropology I recognize that people share different worlds and realities, but those realities end when disaster strikes and lives are lost to flood water. , , and Tropical Storm demand global action.
