Your invincibility at the edge is inconsistent There are a few hidden rules in the game that can give you extra invincibility when you grab the edge! Tethers can be hurt by these rules because they have extra lag frames Please RT to save or punish people at the edge

If you Directional Airdodge close enough to the floor, you will regain your second jump (If it was already used) alongside your ledge invincibility again.

Instant edge drop aerials! This one is very easy and allows you to use any aerial as fast as possible when running off the edge of a platform or stage. Inputs : Dash, hold forward and use your aerial. You NEED to be in your initial dash frames or you'll dash attack.

Yesterday I tweeted about bury mechanics and how it applies to Inkling's roller. I found some optimized, more complex roller combos that utilize this bury mechanic. I'll be posting more things I find in the lab soon, for now enjoy these combos!

Pressing a diagonal on the C-Stick instead of the standard left/right allows you to slightly reduce the forced drift they added in this game. First aerials shown are left/right on the C-Stick, the others are with the diagonal. Not touching the control stick at all.

Time your attack to hit buffered ledge jump using music with a BPM between 115-120. The 1st count is them grabbing ledge, and the 2nd is when the hitbox you want to hit with comes out. Make sure to account for startup and input delay. (sound on)

Bury mechanics are a bit different in Ultimate! In Ultimate, when hitting a buried opponent, but without knocking the opponent out of a bury state, the angle of the move and it's strength is stored. This can allow for combo opportunities. Examples:

I've found a substitute for glidetossing that is really simple and effective! If you cancel a running pivot with an item toss you will do a sliding pivot item toss! It's the same input as sliding pivot tilts and it takes about a minute to learn the input consistently

Many players will hold shield more at high percents, and that's exactly when I like to bust out short hop buffer aerial Raptor Boost. Normal SHBARB is hilariously safe on shield even without the elusive shield cancel tech. Leads to an easy whiff punish.

You can time a short hop to avoid buffered ledge attack using music with a BPM ~110. 1st count is ledge grab, then input short hop right between the 1st and 2nd counts. Puts you in prime position for a whiff punish. Added a clap to help see the timing. (sound on)

When using down b, select your spells with flicking the c-stick! This way you can make Hero turn around with the spell incase you have your back turned towards your opponent.

You can drop through plats way easier in this game than s4 cuz you dont have to move forward or backward after an aerial to do it. I hope people use this for creative shield pressure and extensions
