Today's email inbox gave us something special. A visit to Carmel-by-the-Sea, Calif. & an awesome set of pictures from Marilyn Bransford. This is Kelvin-Helmholtz instability as fog burns off at the Carmel River Beach this morning. Thanks Marilyn!

European ensemble presents two possible solutions as to where Jerry goes. A stronger system could go more west while a weaker system curves out to sea. Most of the members show the later, but there are just enough members going west to not write Jerry off.

Another strong tropical wave rolls of the African coast late this weekend. Lots of support for this to become a named storm sometime next week. If it does develop, still east of the Lesser Antilles in 10 days. Hopefully it goes out to sea! Plenty of time to watch.

Almost 30 years to date, Hurricane Hugo slammed into South Carolina's coast bringing destruction along with it. This photo was taken days after Hugo made landfall. Any guesses as to what coastal city this is? 〰️ 📸: Wes Tyler
